Terms & Conditions
By enrolling in KHP Academy, the student and/or parent or legal guardian acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with the following Terms & Conditions.
1. ENROLLMENT
1.1 Enrollment with KHP Academy is confirmed only upon successful submission of the registration form and receipt of payment, where applicable.
1.2 KHP Academy reserves the right to accept or decline any enrollment at its discretion.
1.3 Each new student is entitled to one (1) complimentary trial class, subject to tutor availability and academy scheduling.
1.4 All scheduled classes must have a minimum duration of one (1) hour.
2. CLASS ATTENDANCE
2.1 Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes punctually and regularly.
2.2 Students are required to join their online class at least five (5) minutes before the scheduled commencement time.
2.3 If a student is more than twenty (20) minutes late without prior notice, the class may be considered forfeited. In such circumstances, the student will be required to pay 20% of the applicable fee for that class to compensate for the tutor's reserved time.
3. RESCHEDULING AND CANCELLATIONS
3.1 Students must notify KHP Academy at least twelve (12) hours in advance if they wish to reschedule or cancel a scheduled class.
3.2 Classes cancelled or rescheduled with less than twelve (12) hours' notice may not be eligible for replacement or refund, except in cases of genuine emergencies, which will be considered at the discretion of KHP Academy.
3.3 Where a tutor is unavailable or unable to conduct a scheduled class, KHP Academy will make reasonable arrangements for a replacement class or, where possible, an alternative tutor.
4. FEES AND PAYMENT
4.1 Tuition fees are charged on an hourly basis unless otherwise agreed under a specific package or arrangement.
4.2 Tuition fees must be settled by the end of each week, based on the total number of completed tuition hours for that week.
4.3 Students and/or parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring that all payments are made by the applicable due date.
4.4 Failure to make payment within the required timeframe may result in the suspension of classes until all outstanding fees have been settled.
4.5 Fees paid to KHP Academy are generally non-refundable, except where otherwise determined or expressly stated by KHP Academy.
5. ONLINE LEARNING REQUIREMENTS
5.1 Students are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary equipment and environment to participate effectively in online lessons.
5.2 Students are expected to have:
A stable and reliable internet connection.
A suitable device, such as a laptop, tablet, or desktop computer.
A quiet and appropriate learning environment.
Any textbooks, stationery, software, or other learning materials required for the lesson.
5.3 KHP Academy shall not be held responsible for interruptions, delays, or disruptions caused by the student's internet connection, device, software, or other technical issues on the student's end.
6. RECORDING OF LESSONS
6.1 Classes may be recorded by KHP Academy for purposes including quality assurance, tutor training, academic review, or revision.
6.2 Any lesson recordings will be handled responsibly and will not be publicly distributed without the appropriate consent.
6.3 Students are strictly prohibited from recording, reproducing, distributing, publishing, uploading, or otherwise sharing any lesson or portion thereof without prior written permission from KHP Academy.
7. CODE OF CONDUCT
7.1 Students are expected to maintain respectful and appropriate conduct throughout all lessons and interactions with KHP Academy staff, tutors, and fellow students.
7.2 Students must:
Treat tutors, staff, and fellow students with respect.
Use appropriate and respectful language.
Maintain appropriate behaviour during lessons.
Refrain from disruptive, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or inappropriate conduct.
7.3 KHP Academy reserves the right to suspend or terminate a student's enrollment where the student repeatedly or seriously violates these expectations.
8. ACADEMIC EXPECTATIONS
8.1 KHP Academy is committed to providing students with appropriate academic guidance, teaching, and support.
8.2 However, KHP Academy does not guarantee any specific examination result, grade, academic outcome, or improvement in performance.
8.3 Academic progress and results depend on various factors, including the student's attendance, participation, effort, preparation, practice, and individual circumstances.
9. PRIVACY AND PERSONAL INFORMATION
9.1 Personal information collected by KHP Academy will be used for legitimate purposes related to enrollment, class administration, communication, scheduling, payment processing, and the provision of educational services.
9.2 KHP Academy will take reasonable measures to protect students' personal information.
9.3 KHP Academy will not sell or disclose personal information to third parties except where necessary to provide its services, where required by law, or where consent has been obtained from the student and/or parent or legal guardian, where applicable.
10. CHANGES TO SCHEDULE AND TUTOR ARRANGEMENTS
10.1 KHP Academy reserves the right to make reasonable changes to class schedules, assigned tutors, lesson arrangements, or other academic arrangements when necessary.
10.2 KHP Academy will provide students and/or parents or guardians with reasonable notice of such changes whenever practicable.
10.3 Where a change materially affects a student's scheduled lesson, KHP Academy will make reasonable efforts to provide a suitable alternative arrangement.
11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
11.1 All teaching materials, notes, slides, worksheets, recordings, resources, and other educational content provided by KHP Academy or its tutors remain the intellectual property of KHP Academy and/or the respective rights holder, unless otherwise stated.
11.2 Such materials are provided solely for the personal educational use of the enrolled student.
11.3 Students and/or parents or guardians must not copy, reproduce, modify, sell, publish, upload, distribute, share, or commercially use any KHP Academy materials without prior written permission.
11.4 Any unauthorized use, reproduction, distribution, or commercial exploitation of KHP Academy's intellectual property may result in termination of enrollment and/or other appropriate action, including the recovery of any applicable costs or losses incurred by KHP Academy, subject to applicable law.
12. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By submitting the KHP Academy registration form, the student and/or parent or legal guardian confirms that they:
Have read and understood these Terms & Conditions.
Agree to comply with the policies and requirements stated above.
Understand that these Terms & Conditions apply throughout the student's enrollment with KHP Academy.
Agree to comply with any additional policies communicated by KHP Academy from time to time.
KHP Academy reserves the right to review and amend these Terms & Conditions when necessary. Any significant amendments will be communicated to enrolled students and/or their parents or guardians where appropriate.
